I just bought this juicer from Amazon and I can make a liter of juice in about a minute. The large chute means I can toss everything in whole and with the 1000 Watt motor this can juice a bag of carrots, several apples and an entire stalk of lettuce put in whole in seconds with the shredder spinning at 13,000 rpm. I bought this for home and it would be fantastic for a health food restaurant of juice bar. For the fantastic quality and rugged construction you are get far more for your money than any other juicer on the market. It's worth a lot more than I paid for it and this juicer deserves more than 5 stars (far far superior to my top of the line all stainless ACME juicer). I make juice every morning and there is nothing so easy and fast to use.

The Breville 800JEXL is worth it's weight in gold! This is amazingly easy to clean. I was a bit scepticle of the price but once I used it I realized that it was worth every cent. I hope that if you are thinking about a juicer that you don't let the price hold you back. It has already earned its worth. I have only had it 2 weeks and I have already used it 5-6 times. It is so easy to put together...I only had to glance at the instructions. Did I mention how easy to clean it is? Its ease of cleaning is one of its best features along with the fact that it does not have an abundance of complicated parts. I also enjoy the pewter silver, it looks so nice on the counter.

I used an Omega 1000 for 7 years. The Omega would often get out of balance (you have to stop juicing, disassemble, clean and start over), has a small feed chute and at times would "spray" some juice from the spout.

The Breville 800 has the following great features:

Big feed chute. You can process 3 regular size carrots at once or three medium apples or oranges (stacked in the feed chute). No cutting needed. The chute is 3" in Dia and 7" tall.

Disassembles quickly. No screws. Fits easily in the dishwasher.

The pitcher included has a spout opening, so there's no overspray. Additionally, the lid is made to separate the foam from the juice.

Never gets out of balance because it's and ejection style juicer. It still does a great job of extracting the majority of juice with the high rpm motor.

Last, it looks very nice on the counter with the stainless steel construction.

Having experienced the lengthy time that usually goes into creating a pint of juice, I was blown away by the speed and ease of my Breville. You don't have to spend much time cutting veggies & fruit b/c the feeding tube is very wide. This is a powerhouse juicer! The first time I used it I momentarily thought it was going to lift off the counter b/c it was so powerful. The cleaning is a breeze and with the exception of the lid, nothing else is plastic. I would recommend this juicer to everyone.

I have a friend who is into eating healthy (organic, locally grown, raw, etc.) but did not have a juicer. After doing some research I bought the Breville from Amazon as a gift for a couple of reasons. I have other Breville products and I trust them, also I liked what people had to say about the 800JEXL. I helped set it up and gave it an inaugural run. This product seems very well made but it does take up quite a bit of counter space once you have the pitcher and pulp container attached. The instructions were easy to follow and even had some recipes (including one for a Bloody Mary, one of my favorite drinks).

I started with carrots so I set the juicer on high as instructed. It sounded like a jet engine! I was surprised by that but quickly got used to it. The carrots went though really fast and I got more juice out of them than I expected. I then added celery and a bit of peeled ginger. It tasted like it could use some seasoning so I added a couple tablespoon of a prepared spicy Bloody Mary mix (which I just happened to have on hand). I really liked it and was amazed at how little time it took. I used a small plastic grocery bag in the pulp container so there was no need to clean it. The rest just came apart and went in the dishwasher.

The juice was not only tasty but reminded me of something that I would pay $5 for at a health food store. I was so impressed I ordered one for myself and I am very happy with my purchases. FIVE STARS from me!

Well, I originally bought this juicer because I knew that unless it was sitting out on the counter I would stash it away and forget about the $$$ I spent on it!! I am particular about kitchen appliances sitting out on the counter, so I knew it had to look good, but didn't want to just pay for looks.

The stainless steel housing is not only attractive, but very easy to clean. The only part of this juicer that is difficult to clean is the filter, but all of them are that way. Putting a plastic liner in the bucket also makes fewer parts to clean.

Two caveats to this juicer:
One, the juice is pretty frothy due to the high rpm's even on the low speed. But, this is a trade off to be able to juice quickly and efficiently. Just be sure to drink the juice right away to reap all of the benefits of the fresh juice.
Two, using the higher speed makes the juice even more frothy, makes a mess because juice spews out of the spout (I usually use a glass instead of the pitcher it comes with to save cleaning an additional part), and the higher speed really isn't necessary anyway because the lower speed is plenty efficient to juice just about anything.

I wanted to be able to juice leafy greens, and although it doesn't do a great job of that, it does better than I thought it would - much better than the Jack LaLane. It also juices the whole (small) apple which saves a step in the process by cutting it up. Carrots and celery are a breeze, and the pulp is drier than I expected.

I thought it was pretty pricey for what it was, but I actually really like this juicer. And, because it sits out on my counter, I use it every day, making it worth the extra money!
